Tweets for Keynote and Tweets for PowerPoint are a set of AppleScript scripts which work together with Twitter Scripter by mousedown Software.
Download Tweets for Keynote, Tweets for PowerPoint and Twitter Scripter from the downloads page.
1. Install Twitter Scripter
When you have installed it, find the Twitter Scripter icon in Launchpad or in your Applications folder. Click on it to run the program. The first time that you run it, Twitter Scripter will ask for permission to use your Twitter accounts. You need to grant permission to be able to use Tweets for Keynote.
2. Add your Twitter account to Mac OS X
Tweets for Keynote uses the Twitter accounts configured in Mac OS X. If you have not added your account, open System Preferences by clicking on the Apple menu in the top left hand corner of your screen, and selecting ‘System Preferences…’.
System Preferences will open – your icons may look slightly different depending on what applications you have installed.
Click on Internet Accounts.
You will see a list of Internet accounts that have been configured.
Click on the Twitter button to add a new account.
Enter your Twitter username and password when prompted then click ‘Next’.
3. Install Tweets for Keynote or Tweets for PowerPoint
Download Tweets for Keynote or Tweets for PowerPoint from the downloads page. The scripts have been digitally signed so that you should not need to alter any security options on your Mac in order to be able to run them.
Unzip the appropriate file, and move the script into your Applications folder. Double-click on it to run it. Alternatively, you can run it from any other folder of your choosing.
Some helper scripts are also available from the downloads page and you can run these from any folder.
